Congratulations Class of 2016!
We are proud to announce that Paradise Intermediate will be holding the eighth grade promotion ceremony in our main gymnasium on Thursday, May 24th from 10 AM to 11:30 AM.
The gym will be open to families for seating by 9:15 and we can accomodate about five family members per student.
On Thursday morning, eligible students are to report to their first period class as usual for roll and to pick up their name card. From there, they will be dismissed to the cafeteria to prepare for the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the newest class of PHS Freshmen will proceed to the 100 wing lobby to pick up their promotion certificates. Once students have certificates in hand, their school day is finished and they are free to leave and celebrate with friends and families.
We look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with your family.

| Changes In School Day Schedules Beginning In January 2012 | Top of Page |
As we continue to provide the best education for each student, the Board of Trustees has authorized a change in our school schedule each Wednesday, beginning in January 2012. This change will allow additional time for teachers to work together in ongoing processes of collective inquiry and action research to help each student achieve high levels of success in our schools. Student instructional time during the week will remain the same because the other 4 days of the week will be extended approximately ten minutes to accommodate the early release time. The organization and use of this time to focus on results is proven to be effective in raising student achievement. Elementary schools, Pine Ridge and Paradise Intermediate School will end earlier on Wednesdays, only on Wednesdays. Paradise High School will start classes later on Wednesdays, but supervision and transportation will be provided for students arriving at the regular time. Each school site will accommodate students for whom this change is a hardship. This organized approach for teacher planning time is proven to improve student success. Each site will provide the exact schedule for your student soon after the Thanksgiving break. I want to repeat that each school will accommodate students and families for whom this change is a hardship. Embedded time entirely reserved for teachers to collaborate on essential learning, monitor student progress, and learn from one another will ensure your child will receive the best possible instruction. We look forward to continued and even greater success for our students.
After the Thanksgiving Break more information with regards to scheduling will be provided at your students' schools and posted to school and district websites.
